Scalp Micropigmentation for Women
Women with pattern baldness and alopecia can now create the illusion of thicker, denser hair. Approximately 25% of our clients are women suffering from some sort of hair loss, either thinning of the hair or alopecia. There are many reasons why women may experience hair loss stemming from genetic predispositions, alopecia, stress and even menopause. Up to approximately 70% of women’s hair is shed in large amounts. It is often precipitated by a response to a traumatic event, either physical or emotional.
Alopecia is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks hair follicles. The second most common form of hair loss dermatologists see is a condition called Telogen Effluvium; a form of non-scarring alopecia characterized by diffuse hair shedding, often with an acute onset.
