TREATMENT
SMP for Alopecia

Award Winning Team 10+ years of experience
Alopecia is simply a non-contagious autoimmune disease that causes hair loss in all individuals, irrespective of the age or gender. It shows no signs or symptoms, it has no cure and the triggering factor is unknown. However, in few occasions, it has been linked to abuse of medication or a bacterial infection.

As an autoimmune disorder, alopecia triggers the body to attack healthy hair follicles which often leads to hair loss. However, it is important to note that chronic stress and terrible dietary habits can also cause hair breakage and excessive hair shedding.

Alopecia Fact

One (1) out of every one thousand (1000) people are affected by alopecia at some point in their lifetime. And one (1) in five (5) reported cases were linked directly to genetics.

Is it detectable?

Scalp micropigmentation has become such an effective hair loss solution because of its consistently natural and undetectable results. IHL prides itself on the ability to seamlessly replicate each individual hair follicle to create a perfect match for each client.

Is it detectable? How many treatments should I expect?

Scalp micropigmentation should never be considered a one treatment process. Most clients can expect between 2-4 sessions to complete their treatment depending on the extent of hair loss or scarring. These treatments are usually spaced about 5- 7 days apart.

How long do the results last?

After completion of your treatment (3-4 sessions) a client should expect the strength of the color to last for many years. Over a longer term, a client will very gradually begin to notice slight lightening (not discolor) of the treatment. When this occurs they can undergo a brief touch up session to restore any fading and secure many more years of their style.

Can Scalp Micropigmentation camouflage my transplant scar?

Yes! By replicating tiny hair follicles inside the scarring and blending the color around the scarring area, transplant and surgical scars can see massive improvement in concealment.
